@leerman22 Edison remembered the "promised bonus" as an exorbitant sum he had thrown out as a joke that Tesla apparently hadn't understood to be a joke.

Thanks for preventing us from having free electricity offered to us by Nikola Tesla. I have almost no respect for Edison. If you knew anything about what he did you wouldn't either. Please type Nikola Tesla in youtube and learn the truth.
