I just got my IGUS dryline slider, and it feels there is some resistance, my question did your slider had some resistance when you took out of the box and put the slider all together?

@MrCrazyeyes001 Well there is always some friction, but out of the box mine was smooth and steady. If you have scratches or bumps on the rail that could cause excess friction, but to answer your question: Mine was smooth right out of the box, no break in needed. I have been considering some lubrication just to make it even slicker but I dont know if that would make smooth slides easier or harder to achieve.

Hi, I just got this item. I am not able to mount the slider hole on my tripod directly. I am yet to do the drilling. I may have to visit office depot. Did you make any other add ons with this slider? Please share your updated picture of this one, so that would be really helpful. Thanks! Looking forward!

@iharyharan I am working on building some legs and maybe a motor to drive the motion. But for now I use lightstands and manfrotto clamps to set it up and just push the carriage by hand. You can see how I drilled and tapped the hole in the middle. if your tripod doesnt have a removable head you can buy a cheap ball head on amazon for about $25 they have the 3/8 thread on them
