would 3 bala sharks be ok for life in a 120 gallon bow fronted planted aquarium

Yeah they would be fine in there, just remember that they get big and their sketchy nature can ruin a planted tank and make smaller tank mates timid and they may hide.

12-14" is average, 18" is possible eitherway DK makes a valid point although full grown specimens will need a far larger aquarium 6'x2'x2' min. At the time this tank was filmed the tank was fine, not sure about now.
Nice jungle tank.

I've had to move all the plants to one side to give them a bigger swimming space. the biggest is around 10 inches now. I saw a 3.5 year old bala once that was 18 inches. he apparently was raised in a 250 gallon tank.

DK, it would take YEARS for a bala shark to grow to that size- and besides, they dont get THAT big... Only 12-14 Inches..
