The Two Wheels 2 Anywhere team test ride and demo the BRP Can-am Spyder Roadster at Americade (June 2009) in Lake George NY. We talk to BRP district sales manager Scott Walker about the Roadster and take a group ride to Lake Placid. In this segment, Pete and Rich give feedback on the Spyder and reaction to their first ride of this unique motorcycle. Ken takes the bike out for a spin and gives his thoughts. Includes footage of Adirondacks, Lake George and Lake Placid area. Later, we meet Spyder owners from all over the Northeast who have gathered here in Lake George to take part in their first inaugural group ride.

A little know fact we are told is that after 4 prototypes the project was almost scrapped because of inherent stability issues that were deemed not saleable to the general consumer. The solution was BRP's partnering with the Bosch company and the development of a VSS vehicle stability system, which includes ABS, traction control and stability control. The Spyder is equipped with a convenient foot activated parking brake, located on the left side of the vehicle. We don't recommend you park the Spyder on a hill without it. Self cancelling front turn signals are integrated into the mirrors. Nice styling. The Spyders belt drive system is quiet, clean and efficient.

  • they cut scenes too much, too much changing angles. Eplieptics shouldn't watch it.

  • id have preferred fewer slow mo and cut scenes for more infi and close shots of the controls and features.

  • Do you still lean to turn in these? Oris it more like an ATV?

  • Lean outside off the turn instead inside like a motorbike?

The "sound man" should sue his physics teacher. Those physics will get him killed one day!

  • nice video cool bike too
