Of course, it's only entertained because you (the media) perpetuate the idea of it, the story of it, the possibility of it being something other than cops doing their jobs to keep us all safe just the way they are supposed to keeping people like that with mile long rap sheets (including robbery), off the streets; giving credibility to those P.O.S.'s claims and substantiating it all. Associated Press why oh why do you have to use the term "killing of an unarmed black man"? That's what those kill whitey black race baiters throw around to make themselves appear as victims when in fact that P.O.S. tried to run over cops with a motor vehicle with a depraived indifference to human life to get away. As for whether or not these cops ID themselves, us common folk will never know. What we do have to go on is witness credibility. Normal citizens with nothing to gain said they saw the cops ID themselves. Perps with lawsuits against the city, who would have directly benifited from a conviction, said they did not hear the cops ID themselves. Who would you believe?
PS The media's use of the word UNARMED is due to the fact that no gun was found.

They were certainly were ARMED that evening. The perps were ARMED with a 3200lb Nissan Altima which they used in an attempt to run over 3 NYPD officers. Why does everyone fail to see this?
