this is the song that made me fall in love with josh pyke.
heard it in 2008 and was truely amazed,
josh pyke's only sparrows album came out today and it is beautiful but this still is my favourite and only because without it i never would have found josh.
i am only 13 so can't go to the bended elbow on the 17th, im so depressed over it.

They cut out a minute of the song? This is an outrage!
Lovely clip though, and he's one of the best lyricists out there at the moment. I mean, look at the lazy shit that's being pumped out into the mainstream right now, words that are so close to meaningless that they may as well just be singing "blahblahblahblah" for the whole song. Then compare it to "and ephemeral notions, like a song or a curse/offering a return, but making me feel worse". He's incredible.

Josh Pyke makes me so happy :)

this vid actually made me smile :)

fav filmclip by him.

This isn't JP's best work and the video is a bit annoying but for twfoth to say that he's a terrible lyricist etc is completely off the mark. I am 55 and have heard a lot of music in the context of the time it was written. JP is the first artist in a long time who writes lyrics that mean anything. Nearly every song paints a picture of a part of his life so we can experience it with him. Not only that but his harmonies and chords are fantastic. (I sing in a choir so I know about harmonies.)
