Then again my dad went from an '05 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with a 3.8 Liter 6 (also factory supercharged) to the '09 V with the 6.2 Liter s/c 8 which has more then double the HP (556 vs. 240) and TQ (551 vs. 280) of the Ultra...also with the V having a curbweight being roughly 300lbs heavier then the Ultra (4200lbs vs. 3884lbs for the automatic), heavier car with a bigger motor thats hungrier, there IS going to be higher fuel consumption.

That intake makes the supercharger sound heavenly

It is supercharged, it comes like that from the factory. Funny how he draws attention to the instant fuel economy indicator when it says like 32mpg then as soon as he gets on the gas it plummets to 5mpg,haha. My dad has an '09 V that he got this past July and he has said multiple times that its a seriously thirsty motor. When you think about it though, when you have a motor like that that sounds as good as it does and that pulls as hard as it does you cant help but get on the gas hard and often.

LOL! The gas mileage is terrible if you play too much. I just can't help it.
In everyday commuting, I get 14-15 mpg and with pure freeway trips, I get 18-19 mpg. When playing around, subtract 4 or 5 mpg from those numbers.
A Prius this is definitely not.

Did you do anything to the ECU? Love the intake! I'm torn to leave my car alone, but thats no fun!

@noahandshell I have a tune for those rare times I go to the dragstrip (and on this video) to maximize HP gain and avoid leaning out. For everyday driving, I leave it alone.
