Strawfoot Straw Foot covered by Greg Martin Schneider

This is a cool song originally by 16 Horsepower. (one of my favorite bands)
I don't play many covers but I really like this song. The hay foot and straw foot is a reference to a civil war era marching training chant where the recruits would have a piece of hay tied to the left foot and straw to the right foot as some didn't know their left from right... the rest of the song is a little more evident to the listener.

Thanks for the information about the meaning of `strawfood` . I discovered this great music shortly and I think its the best I've heard since years. I'm just trying to learn this song on guitar, but i'm a beginner and its difficult to find out. Couldn't you kindly help me?

@ashes787 sorry I had not responded until now. Had not been checking lately. On guitar you drop both Es to D and capo where it is comfortable for you to sing. you can set up the open drone this way. I capo on 5 which is keyed about where David plays it on the banjola. Peace.
