From Canal Street Tavern, in fair Dayton, OH. As far as I can tell, this may be the second earliest live GbV video available (and the earliest footage that I've shot). Vampire on Titus is still being promoted and Bee Thousand's release is still a few months off.

  • Thanks for the info. No we have not met. I grew up in MtVernonOH but have lived in AlbanyNY for the past 10 years. I do a lot of archival transfers of audio and video where I work, so thought I would inquire on format geekery.

  • @wolffmannnn Understood. I thought you might be here in Dayton : C }

  • Lumpy-

    This just might rival your "Wished I was a Giant" video. You know how to kick out the archival jams!

    Was this recorded on Hi8 tape?

    Keep on posting!

  • @wolffmannnn Thanks, Wolffmannnn. No, this was recorded on regular (high quality) 8mm tape. The audio has been tweaked, as well.

    I've been meaning to ask for a while... have we met?

  • this is as good as it gets...

  • @mrprufrock101 I think he only yelled at me because I was a problem child. He was actually pretty easy going, but I was good at bringing out the violent in somebody.

  • @deathclock9 i have to know, what was he like in class? did he ever yell at you guys?

  • Dynamite fucking frontmen: Yow, Dio, Pollard.

  • @jvincentp Then you, too, experienced some of the best live shows, ever. There are clips from these shows (some not on YT) on both the Some Drinking Implied & The Devil Went Home And Puked DVDs. I can't say much about future DVD releases, but there may be something brewing down the road. Place your request with Rockathon Records! Ask for Matt : C }

  • @lumpytwangage: I was at nearly every one of these shows, and have been hoping for years to see the video footage I would see you shooting at the time. How long before the DVD releases? I can't wait!
