@Vitotesta - It isn't hard to sell gear cheaper and undercut your competitors when you're having it made in a Third World country instead of paying your fellow countrymen a decent living wage. It's also easier if you just rip off your competitors' ideas instead of paying someone to come up with original ones.

@AlphaJunoOne - Mackie and Allen & Heath have been forced to move part of their operations to China in order to compete with companies like Behringer, but at least these companies *care* about the products they're making, unlike Behringer, which mainly pushes out uninspired knockoffs at cut-rate prices.

It's no secret that Behringer rips off many of its products from its comptetitors. The latest example of this I've seen is their "Vintage Time Machine" delay pedal, which is a blatant ripoff of the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man.

The problem with Behringer is that they put out products which are utterly lacking in originality and character. They don't create anything, they just blatantly rip off other companies' designs and ideas, never improving on them, and sometimes making them worse. No one buys Behringer gear because it's great, they buy it because it's cheap. Behringer is the pinnacle of mediocrity.

This might well be a bit of a 'propaganda' video but, like others writing here, I own bits and pieces by Behringer which are really good items for a straightforward home studio. I can completely recommend the T-47 Tube Mic which I have been using to record acoustic guitar and vocals. It has a distinctive and pure sound which was better than what I expected for the price. Very good for voice over work too.

My Behringer power amps (I own 4) are all still working perfectly 5+ years running. My Behringer Keyboard Amp (900KX) is a work horse and has seen many a gig with no problems to report (Roland's are a little more powerful, but the sound is just as good), I have a 12 ch.Euromixer for small club/bar gigs oand small 5 ch. Xenyx mixer I use for my keys. All my Behringer stuff is great quality and has never failed. My only problem is with those Behringer plastic effects pedals, they break too easy.

Whahahahahahahahaha!!! You've got me rofl'ed! Guitar stompboxes? The casing smells like (probably IS) chewing gum (I guess those chinese over there must be chewing constantly) and for example the graphic equalizer: its hard to tell if it's on or off because of the tonesuck.
But if you're willing to compromise, don't give a shit about ethics and stuff, and hardly can afford your daily bread... Behringer or DIY (DIY ftw)
If you're a pro of some wannabe, than get the real stuff.

@moester101 yes very true, i remember having a v-amp 2 and pulled it off the table buy accident!, but now im in the market for a bugera 6262

I only watched half of this because I got fed up with the mispronounced name.
The presenter didn't even slip up once and pronounce it correctly !!
BEER - INGER ( NOT INJURE ) - HARD G !! Google Forvo for how to pronounce stuff.

can you please make your voice sound more boring im having trouble falling asleep to this
so called experts always knock behringer, it's fashionable to do so cos it makes you sound like a pro, lol. If you make creative music u can get even major-label US album deals using cheap assed gear, i know cos i've done it. dont listen to these so-called 'pros' or you'll waste your prime creative years saving up for 'pro' gear. By the time you finaly get it you wont have anything left inside yourself to record, all the spark will be gone. Just do it and let the creativity flow :)

I am not pro on audio recording...but I deal with live stage setup and we had mackie mixer and that mixer was very annoying and noisy and it was not even 2 year old. We went and bought a Behringer eurodesk for less than $400 and it saved our day from being booed lol
