Being a Velvet-obsessed since nearly fourty years I never thought that any cover could reach me. Ok, I liked Joy Divisions version of Sister Ray. But Beckman's interpretations really strike me, especially this one! It's running in continuous replay. Have to come down with a third Fernet Branca ;-)

This is quite ok, compared to some of the other covers he´s done here.
The only artist performing this and Waiting For The Man convincingly is John Cale, creator of the Velvets sound:
