A video I made 2 weeks after Katrina after listening to The Boss and his inspirational song. Please note that the ENTIRE Gulf Coast from Beaumont, TX to Mobile, AL suffered after Katrina and Rita. And many are still suffering. Please help in any way that you can! And thanks to those of you who already have!

  • I deployed to Biloxi/East St. Louis Mississippi after Katrina..Prior to that I had spent 3 months in Baghdad Iraq.Compared to what I saw in Iraq Katrina looked like someone had nuked the Gulf Coast.Very Tragic.

  • Thank you for your help after the storm. I have another video "Own Two Hands" thanking those countless numbers of you who assisted our region. Click the "More from this User" tab above if you want to view it.

  • No. I think that HOMELAND Security means, beefing up agencies like FEMA and being prepared for Natural disasters as well as terrorists. FAR too little, too late, and no real instruction as to tapping into the system.

  • Six hospitals still abandoned as well as dozens of public schools, apartment complexes, shopping centers cordoned off. Why is it that this country -so wealthy - allows a major city to stagnate and lie in ruins four years after a hurricane?

  • Yours was the best of the Katrina tributes that used this song. Great job. I want to thank all the people across the country and through out the world who came down here to help us. We could not have done it without you. Those who have cruel things to say- those who stayed had a reasonable expectation of safety from flooding, but THE LEVEES FAILED. Others were abandoned. I lost a friend at St. Rita's, and another friend helped saved the poor people who were floating on their mattresses there.

  • New Orleans is actually doing alot better now for those of you who have never been there or who havent been back after the Hurricane. Ive been twice after the Hurricane and about twice before, but now the businesses are up and running again and New Orleans is growing as it was before.

  • @lhbiii I could'nt have said it better myself!!

  • Looking at this has made me realize how truly blessed i am everyday for my family and friends,my job, house, everything i have. This was something America wasn't ready for And didn't know how to respond quick enough. This is truly a tragedy and only god can help this city.God bless!!

  • i dont like bush..but i dont get how everyone just throws him under the bus, the man won the popular vote in the last election, most of country was in favor of the war in iraq, but then when they saw it wasnt goin as planned they changed their minds, you can't play monday morning quarterback on somethin like that.

  • I was looking through my old favs and forgot I had this video fav'd

I went to N.O. last December, it's sad to know all this happened to that great city. It was very sad to see the shape it still was in all these years after.

  • maybe not but bush did almost nothing to help them. the guy is a creep and he deserves to be prosecuted for war crimes as they are pushing for.

  • i loved this comment. but i wanted to ask something. i was told that new orleans in most places is uninhabital still and that still it is just a mess down there???
