  • If the mould is producing a .309 bullet, why not just resize/lube to .308? BTW, what are you using for a bullet lube?

  • The bullet can be sized just fine...it's the bore ride shank that is the problem. It is measuring .303-.305"..too big. It should be .299-.300" I think I got it worked out.

I am using a lube formula of my own making using bees wax and white lithium grease.Doesn't smoke much and works well from low velocity to up to 2100f/s

  • Bore ride shank? Is that the portion of the bullet that comes into contact of the bore? Resizing should work, but I am wondering if you are describing a portion of the chamber instead.

  • The nose portion of the bullet in this design shuld only slide down the barrel...the driving bands should only come into contact with the rifling. The bore ride shank was too fat and would not slide into the barrel like it should...causing a major jam.

  • Nothing, ablsolutely nothing beats the sound of a Garand en bloc clip being ejected. Makes me so sad I had to sell mine.

  • Isn't leading a problem when using cast bullets in a rifle? I have a .308 Garand and it works very well with everything except underpowered wolf ammo. It even has a chamber insert to stop you from loading 30/06 ammo.

  • :)....

  • OK...sometimes it's difficult to discern who's commenting on what.

  • no i understand i was respond ing to the guy who sked wut the point of the vid was :) . i understand wut ur doing :)

  • Cast bullet oads usually do not generate the pressure to cycle the action...the Lee mold also demostrates that sometimes they come out of the factory too big.
