Walking and shooting with my favorite bow, my Hummingbird Hybrid Longbow, the Kingfisher model.
I shoot 2117 Easton Aluminum arrows with left wing feathers. I buy the shafts, points, inserts, feathers, etc. from 3Rivers Archery and build the arrows myself.

  • Not sure if it is the same in America as it is in Australia, but when i saw your hand hold on the string i believe you were holding your bow a bit wrong. You had all 3 fingers below, in Australia and all my competitions we hold with 1 finger above the arrow and 2 below.

  • @manheap12 , There IS no "wrong"; some people prefer to shoot split fingers and some prefer to shoot three-fingers under. Two different styles.

  • do you have to use aroows with feathers on them or can you use modern arrows with the solid rubber fletchings

  • @TJ41238, You can use the modern plastic flights, but they wear on your bow and shelf a bit more and can affect the flight of the arrow, I guess. Unlike with a compound bow, generally, the feathers run right against the bow. Not that big a deal, though, unless you're competing in the Nationals probably.

  • @TJ41238 You can use plastic fletching, but try to shoot with cock vane in it makes a difference.

  • @manheap12 In the USA we have a variety of ways to shoot other than the split finger.

Three fingers under where I live is called the Apache method. There is also the two finger method index and middle and the thumb and forefinger. Some people use a thumb ring and I'm not aware if that was used by the Native Americans here. Split finger and three finger are well known here.

  • I love walking archery courses like what you have shown in your video today.

I'm very interested in your forearm guard. What brand is it?

  • "redneck golf," next time im asked my favorite sport or hobby, that'll be my answer!!!

  • I'm so jealous of all you americans with HUGE pieces of land and expansive woods and stuff, and of course all of your gun priveleges compared to the wacky no-violence society we have in Britain. Maybe when I retire... idk :D

  • Please do another vid, I love that bow!

  • Where did you get your finger gaurd
