  • FYI, this is not a tech support thread. Contact the store you purchased the stereo from or Alpine for tech support. If you stole the radio or bought it "hot", then tuff shit. The USB does not support the hard drive, you need to do a soft reset on your iPhone for it to work with the USB.

  • The headphone jack is inferior in sound quality compared to the USB. NOTHING will work with Android USB as of right now. USB on every other car stereo is for a thumb drive, iPod or iPhone.

  • Thank you fatdrew421!

  • Why bother when you can just use Pandora and create custom stations? To answer your questions though, yes and yes. You can play it, through the Stereo.

  • If you hold down the volume button while the iPod is playing, it will switch over to iPod use mode, or passenger control as Alpine calls it.

  • @Roux, do a "hard reset" on your iPhone. Hold the wake button on top of the phone, and the home screen button on bottom until AFTER the "slide to turnoff" screen appears. The phone will shut off and the "Apple" will reappear. This is a common symptom after the iPhone or iPod has been updated.

  • Hi,

I bought a clickfree external HD to plug into the front USB port of my CDE-122, but the deck won't read it. Does the HD have to formatted a certain way or something? It won't detect my iPhone 3GS either. Help?

  • I have an alpine CDE-113BT and the audio have gone missing, but the bass signal is still there! another thing is that the answering calls button is not working!

    any suggestions?
