The Black Country Dialect (Part One) is the first of two short videos. It shows the Black Country Community translating several local Black Country sayings/phrases into regular English. Filmed on location at TeeT Shirts (The Black Country T-Shirt Shop) Cradley Heath, the films are both educational and entertaining. giving insight into the Black Country culture and the way they speak.

  • I was born in Walsall and lived there for 13 years, lost the accent now really because I had to adapt to Shropshire but it does come back when I visit everyone haha.

  • Who's the prat with the stupid shit in his ears making that shit silly sound, RETARD!

  • I like this. . . I was born in Walsall and lived in Darlaston until I was 20( I think :-D ). I then moved to Walsall and lived very close to the town centre. If you don't know Darlaston is a small town in the borough of Walsall within the Blackcountry. I've been living in Birmingham for 8 years now. I've been working on toning down my Blackcountry accent for some time now because I get tired of repeating my self. I think the Blackcountry accent is fun and funny.
