*CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE SEASONS OF ROBIN HOOD*
**WOW A FOUR AND A HALF MINUTE VIDEO!!!!**
This is my dedication to the glorious BBC TV series we all know and love: Robin Hood. I'm not sure if I've come to terms with the season finale yet, and truth be told I don't think I can. The series ended for me that Sunday morning, when Allan, Guy, the Sheriff and then Robin died. I didn't realize how much I admired and loved Allan until he died [and what a sad death it was, with the gang thinking he had, yet again, helped the Sheriff. I for one didn't believe it for a second.] So, saying that, the four men I watched the series for are all gone. So, in remembrance of their brilliance, I watched the three seasons back to back and cut every episode.
Storyline: When I first heard this song I cried thinking of Robin Hood; because the song fits him more perfectly than anyone else in the world. I do believe Robin Hood to be a real person [in fact, they've found both his and John Littles grave a few years ago], and throughout my whole life Robin Hood has been my number one hero [from Disney's version to BBC's version, he's just too amazing to get rid of]. I've never heard of someone giving up everything and running from the law to help those worse off than themselves; and that is why I believe Robin deserves every tribute made to him. Having said that, this video is self explanatory; it follows Robin Hood's life up until his death: his first stand up to the Sheriff, his journey from the war in the Holy Land, his newfound friendship with Guy, and the battle at Nottingham [which I've named The Battle at NottinghamI know, original don't you think?]. If you follow the lyrics and listen to the audio clips, I'm sure youll get the story right. And yes, if you listen to the lyrics, I did make Guy an Angel, because I believe Guy to be second to Robin; Guy is the troubled character in this series; his father was a leper and both of his parents died in a fire, which left him and his sister to fend for themselves at a young age. Guy was raised rich, having owned Locksley, but lost everything the day his parents died - and that takes a hard stab at a persons mind. Guy has only ever been trying to regain what he lost when his parents died, and it's sad that he had to die after just getting it all back - he finally had a family, as screwed up as it was, Robin and Archer were his family. That's all Guy really wanted - to be loved. Forgive my blabbing, I hope you enjoy this, because this is the first video I've ever made that has surpassed my original expectation.
Dedication: To Kelsey [OViolentDarkKnightO] because we both love this season and the men in it so much. We will no longer be waking up at 3 A.M. Sunday morning to watch Robin Hood quietly downstairs in our shifts. No more sleepy eyes at church - well, at least not because of Robin Hood. No more laughing at the Sheriff or saying "A Clue...no", no more "I'm not being funny, but's..." from Allan, and no more fights between Robin and Guy.
Favorite part: 1:30 to 1:51 - yes, I made Friar Tuck an Angel as well, because without him our Robin would have never returned to us.
Song: Here You Me by Jimmy Eat World
[Robins dad] - You could be the best shot in England; you shouldn't stand by and let something terrible happen because you were too scared to do the right thing
[Robin] - For every man there is a purpose which he sets up in his life, let yours be the doing of all good deads.
[Much] - What am I going to be without you?
[Robin] - You are already more of a man than I will ever be.
[Friar Tuck] - Everywhere I go I see fear and suspicion haunting their faces, and yet everywhere I hear one name...one name whispered in hope that keeps the flame of England burning Robin Hood.
[Marian] - He has to have the glory, doesn't he?
[Much] - Glory? Nah, he just wants to be loved.
[Robin] - Everything is a choice. Everything we do, you taught me that.
[Robin] - I never give up....on anyone.
[Marian] - You may discover it is too late for some.
[Robin] - Do you know who I am? I am Robin Hood.
