I have not given much consideration as to why morality exists, rather I concern myself with what morality is. That is why I asked you. I had just told someone else that morality has nothing to do with self preservation lol.
I see what you are saying I think. You see morality as something we created as a matter of building societies. Do you consider that morality may be just instinctive and not created? Could we use that model to say that using that instinct we co-exist well?
@gklr There are reasons why we as a species create codes of morality. Morality doesn't exist in a vacuum floating in space--we create it to serve a purpose. Because we are a human species, the only rational purpose for us is one that holds human life as the standard. That is so we all can co-exist together in peace and harmony which is a common goal all people. Why else would humans create a code of morality?
" Ur Christian cosmovision is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) scorns against humanity"
While I agree with this, I do bear in mind it is an opinion we share and not a proven truth as no moral position is or can be proven true or false.
I want you to consider that we require faith to say anyone believes in a god. We can't prove they do. They can't prove they do. We trust theists that they do.
We can prove beliefs exist, we can't prove anyone believes them.
1. When you say theists believe X, you are talking about theists, from there you posit "because they don't" which doesn't talk about "they". It speaks of what is not the case about "they".
2. They have arguments, they have evidence... they don't have proof and no belief does, including atheism, all the laws of logic and so on. They have weak evidence, and weaker arguments.
3. "So this hurts your feelings?" is ok as a question, it's a psychic reading otherwise.
What makes you say morality serves human survival?
Morals are things we can't prove we have at all. We can't prove that we believe anything. We have no way to read peoples minds or have them read ours. It is not a truth that you or I believe a single thing, it must be believed that we believe anything at all, including our own beliefs to ourselves. We can't prove to ourselves that we believe anything at all. If we could, then we could prove it to others and we can't.
Atheism is not true, it is a belief that could be wrong.
Respect and morality mean something and did evolve, and they had/have nothing to do with surviving or controlling others.
The bible is irrelevent to atheism since it's god is proven to not exist and it requires no belief to say so. Atheism only applies to proposed gods that are possible.
Atheists HAD religion on the run. What has happened since I made this video is that so many "atheists" who don't know what they are talking about have shown up saying things that make no sense at all.
Most of the people posing as "atheists" have no idea what atheism even is.
Theism isn't going anywhere soon.
And by jewish, I mean to refer to the religious jew. I do not refer to the jewish culture, I refer to the jewish religion and none of them are atheists.
@YaWhatIThoughtYa Besides, if u believe in Christian eschatology, then there's no reason to work for a better world. Aren't you supposed to leave in a rapture? Please, leave and let us construct a better world without these Christian scorns called "doctrines".

@ImSchnitzer,
"most Jewish scholars realized that Torah wasn't intended to be taken in a strict literal sense"
then you are saying they believe it as much as I do.
If you do not believe I will burn in hell, then this video does not apply to you.

@jamespiperca,
Given that people steal videos at youtube unchecked, it is youtube that prevents well intentioned people from being here.
