  • When i saw "deadliest warrior" first time, i think: What the F... a "Knight" vs a Pirate, a Viking vs a Samurai, a Apache vs a Gladiator.... i was just stunned, what kind of crap they made, i mean what they are thinking. Maybe about to make easy Money.

But it was soooo far away historical correctly, when i saw this abomination of entertainment, i really feel that my Brain get some seriously Damage!

luckily i turn it off !

I just say thank you, for uploading this excellent presentation!

  • That was very interesting. I knew armour was allot more mobile than commonly believed, but not THAT much.

  • @HolzmannsKnogar Thanks a lot! By the way, do you sell armour and if so where? If it's not too far off (I live in Värmland) it would be very interesting to come by and see some of your work...

  • I am making armour and have been studying armours consistently for the last 22 years. I have yet to find a book about armour that is fully 100% accurate. However i can recommend the book: "Techniques of Meideval Armour Reproduction" by Brian R. Price. It dosent cover a large time period but it is certanly accurate and correct.

If you want a book on Swordsmanship, buy: Medieval Swordsmanship by John Clemens. Or the books or DVDs at wwwDOTartsofmarsDOTcom.

    /an armourer from Sweden.

  • @valvarexart

I have heard that "the knight and the blast furnace" is a good book. I haven't read it yet but it seems OK.

  • Where would I find historically correct books to learn more about the subject? I would like to read up on medieval culture without being subject to guesswork...

  • good video, but...

when the guy mentiones the first good book he found in his bookstore and says that first picture is shit because its named 15 century armor (its really a remake of an armor on the pic) its like he isnt even freaking thinking or something. maybe the author of that book wanted to point out that this is how 15 century armor looked like, hellooo?

    35:20 lol, new world record

  • aaaaawesome

i need to send the URL to this video to at least a dozen people I know (who do believe in the "heavy armor" trope)

  • He's trying a little too hard to be humorous.

    Stick with the facts dude.

  • Hmm, is that new? I refreshed my page because the loading wouldn't go farther than about 10 minutes in and I knew I was at 8:50. When I refreshed the clip loaded itself from 8:30 onward. Nice.

  • 35:20 Actually armored he is running faster than me naked =(

  • @tubento I get pricks insulting my culture all the time. Why would the japanese have immunity from it ?
