  • The clarinet solo in the beginning is the most amazing thing I've ever heard.

  • Musicians:

Sidney Bechet (clarinet, soprano sax), Louis Armstrong (trumpet),

Claude Jones (trombone), Luis Russell (piano), Bernard Addison (guitar), Wellman Braud (bass), Zutty Singleton (drums)

    .

Composed by Lil Hardin & Louis Armstrong

.Recorded: New York, May 27, 1940

  • good, but dodds has this nailed tight

  • dis songs da shit

  • @Bluesgerd47 I totally agree - Bechet's good solo here if compared to Dodds' sounds poor ... and he covers the high c ( written d ) of Dodds' solo.

  • i love how each of them is telling a story

  • best song ever!! After "perdido" you can´t find track like this again

  • Good research.

  • I recommend you to listen to the original version of Johnny Dodds! As many musicians throughout the world I`ve tried in my young years to cover it originally: As far as I know no one ever succeeded. It is absolutely unbelievable how Johnny could play!

  • this song is so great... is my life!!!! the sound is excepcional....
