I edited this fourth-year thesis film while a student at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Set in France during World War II, a downed American pilot hangs helplessly from his parachute tangled high in a tree. He is soon discovered by a group of orphaned children who have been forced into primitive and feral means in order to survive the war. Together they will forge a connection that transcends language.

Written and directed by Charlie Boyles. Starring R. Keith Harris. Music by Seth Neuffer. Edited by Andrew Corvey. Cinematography by Dave Martin. Produced by Laura Marciniak-Kobylanski and Dustin Bricker.

Kilroy Was Here won the FujiFilm Audience Impact Award at the 2006 Angelus Film Festival. This award is presented to the live-action film whose compelling story, imagery, content and technical excellence delivers strong emotional audience impact. This film was also awarded the Act One Award for Outstanding Screenplay, another 2006 Angelus Film Festival Award.

In 2007, the film was screened at the Sundance Film Festival.
