  • Thanks! I know what you mean about the talk-fest -- I guess the camera-guys were talking -- but don't worry -- I should be getting clean audio from the board at some point and will re-post with it.

  • Proof that Jimi Hendrix went to Heaven and had a sex change!!! WHAT an improvement!!!!!

  • @rogerksenich I think of it more as a tribute than an improvement, but I thank you for your very kind words! Oh, that I could truly embody the spirit of Hendrix! I'll go get a headband...

  • I wish every artist would create a National Anthem and express their political views postive or negative on the country. It has become "popular" to put down every non-traditional expression of nationalism. When Hitler took over Germany, the first thing he did was burn al the modern art and run the artists who weren't willing to do his bidding out of the country. He knew the power of art to ask vital questions...When we stop questioning we stop living in a nation worth having.

  • @ThirteenthMuse: Honi soit qui mal y pense - evil is to he who evil thinks. Ain't no disrespect in my eyes or ears.

  • I once took a private with Deborah at Sylvia Woods Harp Center and told her that she is proof that God is a woman. My God does she inspire! This is truly a person who IS music, body and soul!

  • Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you Deborah!

  • Awesome!

  • @ThirteenthMuse it's actually NOT American at all to butcher the Anthem. When the melody to our nations most precious song is not even recognized, it's not style, it's slop. Much akin to writing the US Constitution in ebonics or with today's "text" lingo... Surely you must have some sort of appreciation for the "KISS" method when it comes to beauty... Interpret the hundreds of thousands of songs in nearly every genre, but when it comes to the Star Spangled Banner and Taps, show respect!!!

  • I am just so totally in awe, wonder and marvel *bows down at the feet of Deborah Henson-Conant*

  • @bjgrondell I don't understand how this is "disrespectful". It's simply a different musical style - one which, I might add, is VERY American!

  • Fantastic, it's a 'tribute' in the best sense of the word. It's a pity about the 'talk fest' ...over the top' Wonderful musicianship!

  • Deborah Legend !!:)
