It's funny how we both had a lot of history in the same area, but I didn't actually move there myself until 1976. I helped my grandparents move back to her family home after grandpa retired. I moved away again and didn't come back until I was 21 then I stayed for 6 years on Gilleland drive, and then on and off to visit over the years. No reason to go there now, my mom lives in Ogelthorpe co. but once lived in a house just passed your church on Caroline. Boy that GPS had you way down by Bells.

Wow! You just passed my great grandmas house on Hawathorne. It used to be a dark brown but the new owners painted it blue/grey. The house is right beside the church that the man told you to go to. My whole family (mom's side) is buried up behind that house in the family cemetery off of Cemetery drive by way of Gilleland Drive. I had a great uncle hit and killed by a speeding car on the road in front of that house when he was 12 y/o he was the first one in the cemetery many, many years ago.

I bet this is why I couldn't find the Church when you asked me to phone. I wish it wasn't so hard to find.
