"do you speak japanese?" dude, you were in thailand not japan. that's like living in america and asking someone "hey, do you speak spanish?" when you go to another country you ought to buy a dictionary and take it with you. don't expect everyone on earth to know english.

i was just trying to communicate man. english, japanese, indonesian. i tried everything. i was in taiwan a few years ago and nobody in the country spoke english. then when i busted out the japanese, everybody understood. even in bali, not too many people speak english but a lot speak japanese. i don't like to carry a dictionary because i like to communicate in other ways. i just tried my best with what i had. usually it works but not that time... haha... but thanks for the comment....

yep, that pork dish you were asking about is called salty pork which isn't really salty at all. its sweet and has a taste of soy sauce giving it that dark color. its really good.
