  • I was up early and had the surgery the first thing in the morning on Jan 3rd 2008. My surgery was so different. I did not see the operating table. I was in the bed wheeled down the hall...and then slept within seconds of leaving the pre-op cubicle.

  • Lol, everyone pities me because I can't have crab,calamari or lobster. Its like blasphemy to them. If you are out this way let me know. My Mom is a trip and silly too. I hope you're enjoying the videos.

  • I'm about 9 days out now and I could definitely sit, listen to presentations and comment intelligently and appropriately. I don't think I would have the energy to walk around for an hour lecturing. Maybe you could do it intermittently. I really think you'll be okay as long as you don't have any complications. It might also be helpful to prepare your lectures before surgery.I've heard numerous people on here say they could have gone back to work after 2 weeks (that's almost 10 days:)
