Lord Jesus Christ,Son Of God, have Mercy on me a sinner. i think is the Jesus Prayer there are a few versions of it but this is the one i was taught

Usually the Prayer Rope ends in a tassel that its purpose to wiping the tears ( Luke 7:44)

In the Prayer Rope, each section has some symbolic significance. It is mainly woven wool to remind members of the Church that are reasonably sheep of Jesus Christ (John 10:11). Its color varies from black to symbolize mourning for sins because "nobody without sin" (cf. C Vas 8:46, Job 4:17, Rom. 3:9-12, etc.). More of the Prayer Rope has a cross to bring the memory that "all the more sinful beings us Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8).

The 33 knots symbolize the years of Jesus Christ, 99 knots is 33 multiplied by the number of three Persons of the Trinity, and each knot is composed of 9 braided crosses, symbolizing the nine orders of angels. However, while the number of crosses that represent each knot is always stable, the number of knots forming the beads depends on the number of prayers for which will be used.

THE STORY OF THE PRAYER ROPE IS THAT:
According to tradition, the saint Pachomius in 320 AD, founded with the help of St. Anthony the first monastery in the Thebaid of Egypt. He began to seek a way to help the monks in prayer and meditation to the count of prayers. According to tradition, always, the Archangel Gabriel visited in his sleep the Blessed Pachomio and showed him how to make the tool that will serve the needs of prayer. This tool was the Prayer Rope.
