Mine will be a Changfa R165 (4HP, 198cc) and I want to make motorized sofa. :-)

Yeah I don't much about small diesels like your friends, but if it was a car diesel it would make a big difference. If you check out the vids of my GMC you'll see how much they help.

ah i see lol im not sure if he had any problems putting it on or if he even has one i dont know if it would make a diffrence if he had one or not im not a diesel motor guy...yet lol i work on chevy gasoline engines haha

A glow plug system is basically used to start a diesel when its cold. Sort of like a choke on a carburetor.
