Drum cover on 2 rock band drum sets
I got this idea to run rock band drum sets through my mac. i looked it up and found out its very possible.
I used a few programs. I used and xbox 360 controller driver, Junxion, and gamepad companion.
junxion transmits the notes from the wii drum set into midi and transmits it to garageband. For some reason i couldnt get my xbox 360 drumset to work with this, so i used another program called gamepad companion.
This program is sort of a problem, but better than nothing. It converts a stroke onto the pad into a specific keystroke. I then opened the musical typing keyboard, and used the pads to play certain notes.
The problem is, the lag with this is pretty bad. you will notice sometimes that when i hit the top pads, there is a lag. this is not my fault.
another problem is there is currently no way to make this velocity sensitive, so everything is the same volume.
The good news is if you really wanted to, you could go through and edit all of the notes however you wanted through garage band
there are plenty of tutorials on how to do this on both mac and windows. just use the internet holy trinity (google, yahoo, ask.com)
maybe eventually they'll be able to do this with the guitar hero world tour set. or maybe they already can. idk. ask the trinity.
NOW onto the actual music. Great song by the roots. you gotta love ?uest love (same word twice same sentence)(AGAIN!). I could have made this actual cover alot better. I was tryin to be way to complicated and the lag didnt help. Also, i could have fixed the camera angle, but as i said before, this is 3:30 sunday morning. im tired and im not that big on second takes.
