Tower of Druaga (1984 Namco)

A maze/Action-Adventure game where Control Heroic Prince Gilgamesh who must rescue the Maiden Ki from the Demon Druaga. You are armed with a sword to attack and defend. You must find hidden (or special items) when special conditions are met which some are required to beat the game.

This game is based on the Japanese Franchise series "Babylonian Castle Saga".

This is not your average arcade game like Donkey Kong or Pac-Man where you just jump or pass through enemies to pass to move to the next level. This game does require a bit of strategy to be done to make the treasure appear. You must get some items to progress through the level to beat the game. Some of the levels that require you to break walls with pickax are troublesome. Used a lot of walkthrough guide online to complete majority of the levels. It was difficult what to do to use the pickaxe to break the walls so cheats had to be used on those stages. This game is like a mix of Strategy Game like Microsoft's Ancient Civilization with Zelda. If you don't like strategy games or RPG's then this is not a game for you.
