Neil Cavuto on Fox Business News discusses the proposed elective cosmetic surgery tax with Manhattan Plastic Surgeon, Dr Jennifer Walden, and why this is not an effective method to fix a broken healthcare system..
This is such bullshit. Who cares if the rich are taxed? They're rich for God sake, they can afford it. Plus, its not like they're taxing bread; most people don't need plastic surgery (in fact, a lot would actually be better without it). Re-constructive surgery (after an accident or operation) is the only cosmetic surgery that's excusable. Somewhat discriminatory against women? Complete bologna. And $90K a year? Not what I'd call "working class" (though its definitely middle class).
Great Job explaining this Dr. Walden, and I agree this is an unfair tax. This tax to a large extent will fall on the demographic that President Obama promised not to tax.
boo hoo. They deserve it and can pay for it. There should be higher taxes on more luxiory items.
