John McCain Touts GI Bill He Opposed As Success Story

John McCain during his town hall meeting on July 15, 2008 in Albuquerque, New Mexico when asked what he's going to do to address the sky-rocketing cost of college. McCain touts the GI Bill that he opposed and that he didn't even vote on as an example of a success story that will help increase educational benefits for members of the military. He notes the "difference of opinion" with Jim Webb and says "we resolved this". McCain didn't resolve anything. He's missed more votes than any other Senator this year and the bill passed despite his opposition to it and his refusal to vote for or against it.

GOOD STUDENT LOANS?? QUALIFIED FOR?? It was nice that McCain took credit for the new GI bill since he voted against it and put it down. But as you hear he says "We" when it was really "They"
