Hey Luetin, great video. I have just one question: Do you have to stay focused on let's say the tank you want to be marked (and want to be taken out) or does it work the same way the normal spotting works, I.e. does it stay marked even after you stop aiming at it? Thanks for the answer :)

@Draxis32 What role do you get the ECM jammer? Is it recon?,or can you get it in any role?.

ive never came acroos the soflam until now. it looks good and useful for helping your team take out enemy vehicles but as nethstar said its a give-away because of the red laser. im mainly an engineer but when i do go on recon i will try to unlock this it could be useful!.

The SOFLAM is seriously underused and underestimated because 90% of recon players are egoists who usually come just to kill and not rally to play.

My question about the soflam is how long does it stay locked after u designate a Target?

Thank you for such a clear explanation of the device, it's hard to get a straight answer out of people on servers, and there's no instruction manual with the device itself! Hopefully this guide has made at least a few Recons more useful to their teams.

@Luetin09 oh yes hitting an air vehicle with it is by far one of the best moments you can experience, i have had many of these moments in my jet and since i make it a habit to fly with extinguisher (i enjoy dodging rockets) i have to constantly scan the sky when i have a lock on tone, and there has been many times when i feel im safe...and then it strikes from nowhere..>=O damn you javelin!

No-one uses these enough.I can only image because of 2 things:
1. Lack of bonus points gained for successfully Marking AND Helping Destroy tanks/air.
2. Increased bright red light = Giving away soflam's location. That's Not what I'd call "Recon" at all.
"HEY GUYS, RECON GEAR IS SET UP HERE!!!"
I found even with others helping,its really not worth it. If the damage to tanks was less than that 2/3 hits to destroy using soflam,It would prove a very quick way of disabling vehicles.But it doesnt
