The sound will be an issue for us when shooting our short film, but I think we will just take a referens audiotrack on set, and then just re-do all the sound in the editing. So a lot of foley and ADR. :D

I usually shoot super 8 on my Elmo 1012XL use a Canon 7D as a sound reference.Slate it.Then do a dub over on Final Cut Pro.

When shooting with audio in mind, is crystal sync really necessary? And why is installing the sync so expensive?

this really has nothing do do with the iphone, it is just doing what any device that can record sound would do. keeping a super 8 at 24 is pretty impressive though

@BTVProductions1982 We currently only convert the Canon 814 XLS, Canon 1014 XLS and Beaulieu 4008 to crystal sync
