Leadership Starts Here
Kristen Meier's resume has superlatives written all over it. Captain of the Aztec women's swimming and diving team. Holder of three SDSU diving records. Competitor at the NCAA championships in the 3-meter and 1-meter events.
Flawless execution
Kristen's flawlessly executed dives helped her team achieve a perfect 19-0 in dual meets on their way to capturing the team title at the 2011 Mountain West Conference championships. Add that feat to her pursuit of a challenging economics degree, and you can see the makings of a leader.
Students like Kristen, whose prowess in the pool earned her an athletic scholarship, personify today's young Aztecs. They come to SDSU because of the university's outstanding faculty, high academic standards and diverse, engaged campus community.
Harnessing momentum
Never before has SDSU been stronger or better prepared to educate these leaders of tomorrow. Our campus community has the intellectual firepower to propel the university into the ranks of America's top public research institutions.
Through the Campaign for SDSU, we will harness this momentum and move SDSU forward. Donor support for innovative research, endowed faculty chairs and student scholarships is vital to our future.
