Following is a account of gruesome act with no paralel in recent times and we want everyone who read this, to atleast whisper if not raise voice so that the many whispers become a movement in order to deliver justice to those who are no more to ask for justice.
It is regarding the suicide committed by the whole family (Husband, wife, two daughters & a son) due to the hopelessness and injustice inflicted upon them out of greed, covetousness, and voracity of appetite of the coterie of corrupt officials, local politicians and miser businessmen. The shocking & painful incident happened two years back in Katni District of Madhya Pradesh, which shook the soul of common man but had no effect on deaf and benumbed souls of the so-called saviors of the society. The manner, in which the investigations held, the accused officer Manoj Khatri S.D.M. Revenue, Katni, was appointed to head the enquiry by the D.M. Mr. Anupam Rajan (who himself is facing charges of 420 and criminal conspiracy at Delhi High Court) & the manner in which the High Court Judge Mr. Sugandhilal Jain allowed the anticipatory bail to the accused & not a single accused was arrested (It is learnt that Mr. Sugandhilal Jain was later removed from the bench and an enquiry instituted against him by the Supreme Court) is an example of decrement of faith, decay and utter collapse of the State Govt., administration and justice system of a State. In spite of the fact that the suicide note left by the deceased family clearly mentioned the names of the officers and businessmen who forced the family to take such a drastic step of ending there life, enough was intentionally allowed to the accused to whitewash the facts and documentary evidence. The local police without any proper investigation filed the crime no. 574/04 U/s 306 & 34 IPC in the lower court (case no. 1715/04) so that the culprits can be acquitted. Two of the accused & important witnesses died within 2 weeks of the incident. One of the accused Miss Naheeda (Tehalsildar) was kidnapped by the main accused Mr. Suresh Gupta and was later found dead in her own house in unexplained circumstances. The incident was shocking & painful but the truth behind the suicide and the cover-up tricks played by the coterie of few corrupt district officials, two local M.L.A's in collusion with the kerosene, petrol pump, land & liquor mafia who were responsible for the murder, is of much greater concern. No one of the family is left behind to raise voice & fight against the injustice inflicted upon them but the most disgusting part of this unfortunate incident is that the so called justice system of our society is also seemingly dead and is favoring the culprits. It is alleged that the S.D.M. Katni, Mr. Manoj Khatri who is a relative of one of the accused Mr. Satpal Grover, Kerosene Mafia Mr. Suresh Gupta (Owner of more then 22 H.P. Petrol Pumps & Gas Agencies pocketing crores of rupees every month from petrol, diesel adulteration and keeps many corrupt beurocrats & politicians in his lower pocket), the local B.J.P. M.L.A.'s Mr. Dhut Pratap Singh previously a small time racketeer & Mrs. Alka Jain known for her interest in grabbing the disputed properties, colluded to grab the property of the deceased family where in the S.D.M. Khatri was acting as the agent of this Mafia by getting the property attached, auctioned & sold at the rates which is one tenth of the prevailing market price. All these formalities were completed inside the office of the S.D.M. Khatri and the beneficiaries were the two blackmarketeer's and adulterators Mr. Suresh Gupta & Mr. Satpal Grover. The above mentioned names were clearly mentioned in the Suicide note by the deceased family but the names of Mr. Khatri and few more were missing from the FIR and the funny part of this disgusting episode is that one of the culprit Manoj Khatri was himself appointed to head the local enquiry in order to white wash his misdeeds and to clear the cesspool of lust & greed. Manoj Khatri was later recommended for promotion by the local B.J.P. M.L.A's and is now promoted by the State B.J.P. Govt. for his unmatched beurocratic skills in dealing with such 'Best Bakery'
