dude what are you talkin about? I'm not a Capitals fan, but Ovechkin is the best player in the world right now / ever. Hockey is faster, then 20 years ago, there are different rules then 20 years ago, and with theese rules it's very hard to score more then 50 goals a year, or have 35 assists etc... Gretzky was the best at the time, but now is 2009, and Ovechkin is the best.

yes i am... and mark my words... because ovie takes up so much cap space, and he is so overrated... he will never win the cup in the contract he is in now... he is great at what he does... but what he does is so 1-dimensional

buddy you're stupid even if he is better than Gretzky and lemieux, which hes not, hes not even close to the best player ever.people tend to forget who the best ever is he is bobby orr who was able to score more points than ovie on defense when all three of them didnt know how to backcheck. ovie is a great player and i respect him alot but best ever come on

he doesnt play all 200 feet of the ice. period.
he has a shot, ok, but he plays for a team that needs him badly, therefore he gets the puck alot, he really isnt all that great.
take your mvp trophies somewhere else, im enjoying my conn smythes and stanley cups
