  • The machine is a Buffalo Therma-Knife. I think it is easier to use than a scalpel, and acrylic burs don't work because the material is too soft. Vaseline helps keep the soft reline from sticking to the teeth, but you still have to shape and blend the soft reline into the contours of the denture and cut off the excess. The knife also makes it easy to get off the extensions which go into the extraction sockets.

  • He wouldn't have to use the hot knife if he just put vaseline on the outer side.

  • I'm a dentist from Peru and I want to know what is that machine that you are using for cutting the excess.
