Orignally aired on Monday evening, July 30, 1990. WDIV is the NBC affiliate in Detroit, Michigan and at the time had the rights to air Detroit Tiger baseball games.
In this clip are some of the commercials that aired durng the Tigers-Yankees game that evening.
First, Jim Varney as Ernest P. Worrell in an ABC Warehouse commercial. Then, Ernie Harwell in a spot for Citizen's Insurance; look for the Tigers Hall of Fame poster.
George Kell then pauses ten-second for station identifcation and there are the graphics coming into and exiting the inning. This is followed by a spot for Eagle with Jack Klugmann and Tony Randall reprising their roles from the Odd Couple while playing "Duck Hunt."
Sparky Anderson is in a commercial for your "Local Metro Detroit Ford Dealers" and George Kell runs down the upcoming Tiger TV schedule. The end of the inning is shown, followed by a promotional event at an upcoming Tiger game.
Finally, there is a baseball-themed Kroger spot, a Bernie Smilovitz promo and then a Bernie voice-over for the sponsors of Tiger baseball.

I remember this well; it's a shame they don't show Tigers games on 4 anymore.

I wish the ball games were still on local 4 hence channel 4 being called local! can't get more local than Tigers baseball!!!! glad you uploaded this!
