@tbonez84 can u ppppllllllzzzzz make an update video of the deloren with the northstar plzzzzz!!!!!
-
And god said "LET THERE BE AWESOME" and a NorthStar did appear in a Delorean.
-
Awesome conversion, I assume it's further along since this was in 2009 :)
It's nice to see the Northstar getting used for a project like this, but out of curiosity, why not a cheaper and probably better-fitting 350 or 325 (LS4)?

Apparently the DeLorean from Back To The Future had a similar idea as you. Instead of the DeLorean V6, it ran a V8 from a Porsche 928. Partly to sound angry enough, and partly so that run to 88 miles an hour wasn't such a hard slog lol

Big engine power !

A Flat 6 Porsche 911 engine would have been better!
-
shoulda put a mustang 5.0 in that thing.
-
Hello Nice !!
See my Delorean rest.+ other car`s
JVB.

How much did that cost ya?

Great work, something more for the go! I'm impressed... though... the only thought on my mind is, will you make the subframe more beefer? Reinforce the car to take on the monsterous torque it will experience from that shoehorned behemoth? Also, top notch braking would be considered... with all that power sitting behind you, you do indeed wanna stop faster... Delors are notoriously soft on the front side... take care brother, and press on!
Are you running a DeLorean transmission? If so, how did you adapt the trans to the engine?

no. I ditched the original 3speed Automatic Tranny, and even the 5 speed DMC stick shift would not handle the 300HP CADDY BEAST! I have a porsche 5 speed 930 transaxle out of a 1987 911. the adapter was custom made by Kennedy Engineering inc.

i know its been about 6 months since this video and I hate to say but not a whole lot of progress has happened. I hate to blame it on the economy but money is tight these days and the car still needs alot of work. I have tested the water circulation system which works great, and made up custom LED front turn signals (VERY FREAKIN BRIGHT). the car still needs about $3500 worth of PARTS to even be considered road worthy and a ton of labor. but I will pursue my DREAM and make it a reality!!
