A video regarding Pit Bull stereotypes and myths with my own two dogs (an American Pit Bull Terrier and a Pit Bull/Pharoah Hound mix) and a pubecent Pit Bull/Pit Bull mix who lived at my house for a time. Even if these three were the only ones who beat the stereotype, it still means that the myths aren't true and can be dunked.

  • anyone who really knows the breed will agree pitbulls will do anything to please their owners. if the owner wants them vicious then thats what they'll be. if the owner trains them to be obedient good dogs then thats what they'll be. The deciding factor is the " O W N E R !!!!!!!!"

  • You are absolutely right. Even a survey done 10 years ago that was used by some animal "rights" groups (HSUS, PeTA) to try to "prove" that some breeds were more dangerous than others concluded that owner management was the MAIN cause of fatal dog attacks; the dogs were in most cases not even pets but guard dogs, illegal fighting dogs, and dogs who spent their lives outdoors on chains at the mercy of the elements.

  • so true its the OWNERS faught. blame the owner not the breed

  • @kdubb11 that is the only weakness the apbt has is that it is so loyal that it will do anything the owner trains it to... I have a pitbull that is totally nice because i trained it to be but up the street from me there are two pitbulls that are very aggresive dogs and on eday i stopped and asked the owner what why his dogs were like that he said "i raised them the wrong way someone said that if you be mean to it it wont turn on you so we abused them as puppies" like what stupid advice

  • It does me too, these sickos will find ways to hide their activities, and if they stop fighting dogs, they'll just fight other animals or pay homeless people to fight for them. They're truly sick and need to be locked up away from the general public, and forced to take sensitivity training and other classes for their issues, in my opinion.

  • It is, it makes me very sick to my stomach and ashamed to be of the same species as the monsters that train and force dogs (or any any other being) to fight. Thankfully dog fighting is now a felony in all 50 states.

  • Hey...it all depends on how the dog is raised...everything is a factor...from the owner to the environment. Any dog is capable of attacking.
