  • @Ibrahim1109 Isaiah 40:22 says God sits above 'the circle of the earth' (the Hebrew word for 'circle' can also mean a 'sphere'). Also, Luke 17:34-36 depicts Christ's Second Coming as happening while some are asleep at night and others are working at day-time activities in the field-an indication of a rotating earth with day and night at the same time. The Book of Enoch says he went to 3rd Heaven where angels where physical beings that controlled time, maybe what scientist call 'the 4th dimension?

  • @narco73 Check out: Isaiah 40:22; "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth..."; Job 26:7; "He spreads out the northern [skies] over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing"; the Hebrew language at that time did not have a word for "sphere," only for "circle."

  • @year2044 It's not true to say that the hebrews did not have a word for sphere. It is "dūr", this is used in the old testament to denote a either a ball or a circle. This is not the word used to describe the shape of the earth. The word "khūg̱" used to describe shape of the earth was only ever used to denote a flat circle.

  • 10:16 - oh, the scientific poetry, how much i love that one :-D

  • @ndzoko The word 'spherical' or sphere did not exist during those times, the Hewbrews did not have that word in their vocabulary at the time...so round/circle was the best they could do to describe 'round earth', also in the old testament there is many places in which it says the earth does move. So...its what is always has been, either you have FAITH or you don't I guess. But the bible never said the earth was flat

  • @year2044 Round does not mean spherical." Hanging" always implies something" to hang from". In several places the bible states that the earth is FIXED, UNMOVABLE. Some science, if you ask me !!

  • @ndzoko Actually the bible does SAY that the world is round. Its actually in there & hangs in space! Check these places out: Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6. The Catholic church made the 'flat earth'...the Bible made the Round Earth.

  • @ndzoko The author did not claim that, god did and the author wrote it. So yes, the author did not know the world was round, but god said it would kill everything on the planet. That is why people say that the flood was world wide. Not on the authors account, but on gods.
