@Jakeman2164 There are things called options. A loaded Rabbit with every option would've been in that ballpark, whereas a base model, at the time this ad was aired, was $14,999.

It's sad, I would love to own a Jetta or New Beetle, but I would never buy them since there made in the Mexican plant. Before someone calls me a racist, its a fact that the Mexican Volkswagen's have more problems than their German counterparts. I'll stick with the Golf and the Passat in my driveway.
