This video demonstrates a wireless sensor network deployed at the Cal Poly African Tortoise Barn. These devices are used to assist animal science researchers by automating routine mundane measurements. The wireless device used is a TI EZ430-RF2500 wireless development kit. The sensors include a Sensiron SHT11 temperature/humidity sensor, a Vishay BPW20RF light intensity sensor that measure the environment. Finally pen nodes each include 3 LM35DT analog temperature sensors that measure various sections in a pen. This group project was completed in 10weeks by: Kianoosh Salami, Desmond Talkington, Lok An, and Justin Kuo.
