It's amazing how he can do it. I think a part of it comes from the man's understanding of what he did. He doesn't whine, place the blame on anyone but himself. He understands that he deserves Hell and, even when most would cower from God, he looks into his eyes and says "I will be judged as a murderer and I deserve an eternity in Hell. I can only pray that you forgive me but I do not deserve it. Just bring the punishment for my sins and get me out of this place to where I am headed." Beautiful.
