OROBROY, DORANTES &orquesta

Almost without noticing and being a teenager, Dorantes commence to open new paths in flamenco, introducing the piano, an instrument until then foreign to the traditional rhythms of Andalusia and new rhythms, harmonies and concepts, already been described as futuristic. At the age of 22, he debuted in the Real Alcazar with the attendance of the King and Queen of Spain, but it wasnt until seven years later in 1998, when his first musical creation, "Orobroy", saw the light, a recording that made come to terms public and critics and placed Dorantes on the top of the list of the flamenco musical panorama, thanks to a peculiar way of understanding the composition. The purists praise his technique, fans applaud his courageous innovation and critics, purists and non purists, as one, are at his feet... "Dorantes took us to the Gypsy Heavens",
