I like this quote from Christopher MacDougall ("Born to Run");
"But ultimately, the debate isn't about Bare Soles vs. Shoes. It's
about learning to run gently. Master that, and you can wear — or not wear — anything you please."

I'm sure the same counts for minimalistic shoes..................

  • nice video i wish you were in Miami area

  • Thanks for posting this, Jacky. I spent seven months transitioning to VFFs and now run in them full time. It does take a lot of work to not heel strike though. Though one common mistake that I still need to correct is that I'm still landing a little further forward of my center of mass.

  • Yup,i started running in vff half a year ago and after two months end up with terrible shin splints. I started adapting pose method technique and was able to slowly get rid of shin pain.

  • thanks for the video. I still have calf pain after long runs. probably ı dont relax them enough during running.

    anyway I get rid of shin splints...

  • Nice vid as always.

    I saw a girl at the gym heel striking heavily with Vibrams on a treadmill and making lots of noise. Very painful, I agree. She was off in 10 minutes.
