This is my buddy Kelly. He's got a really fast trigger finger. Normally this drill is done with your hands up, but we like it this way.

  • common- Saw a fellow on our range, react to buzzer, cock, draw, and fire 5 rounds from an Uberti replica Dragoon 36 cal. with black powder and percussion caps in 1.10 sec. No fanning, no auto pistol, no DA shooting. Yes, it can be done- with 150 year old tech. Now that will make you cry

  • Holy cow! That's amazing. Not something I could ever come close to!

  • That looks like my friend Kelly. Nice job bro. That's some incredible trigger squeezin!

  • It is, and it is!

  • That's not a bill drill! Your hands must be over your head and all six shots must be in the A zone, not on a huge steel plate. sorry

  • I don't understand the problem, markoftheking777. He cleared the pistol (which by definition makes it safe) while it was pointed in a safe direction, and he caught the ejected round so he wouldn't have to get down and pick it up. Nobody's safety was compromised and nobody was showing off. What's the problem?

  • That's not a bill drill. Just a very, very fast trigger finger after a fast quickdraw. It's still awesome, but let's see if you can do the same after a run and gun. XD

  • @g21cforme That's what I thought, but I gotta admit I couldn't do it that fast on a broad side of a barn.

  • @Arwrologist Shooting well on square range & FIGHTING w/ firearms are NOT the same thing. Definitely related- but not the same. We had a Man-vs-Man on Steel match on 09/11/2011. 6 steel targets, mandatory reload- shoot down your last Popper before your opponent did.Under stress, shooters left up tgts they missed or had hit & not gone down. They did not scan after engagement, they DID NOT see a standing Tgt 5 yds away until it was pointed out! Fight like you train, Train like you fight.

  • @sbd45acp There was an officer in NYPD (I belive) that was in a gun fight. When his mag went dry, he started to pick up the empty brass. That is how he trained in his department...so that is what he did in this situation. Almost got him KIA!

  • @OutsmarttheSystem Can you make a video of that?

  • what's the deal with the last bullet in the chamber??

sorry for the silly question but i really don't know what's going on

  • Nope, no Word Record. His hands were not up.

  • @sbd45acp I'm not all knowing but word like that gets around. We did have a guy with the 249 ride the bolt forward on a round and AD after comming through the gate. Every weapon in my vehicle was hot when we went out. With an M-16 you will not always feel the bolt lock back when you run dry through all the gear so i'm sure that happened in some firefights. As far as I'm aware of no one ever tried to show clear like you implied.

  • @Daytonaman675 Let's see.. you qual'd on any individual weapon before deployment how many times?- And during all the real fights you were in, no one clicked on an empty chamber, pointed a slide locked empty weapon and tried to fire it, forgot to unload before storage, or lock and load before action? You trained NOT to do any of THAT, Right? And if they did you surely would have seen every instance....

  • @sbd45acp Hey man I hate to point this out but when we shot quals in the army it was the same shit and no one dropped a mag and tried to show clear in Iraq. Your argument is flawed but you keep mashing forward with it.
