cool sound, but all you need for the srv sound is strat or a strat like guitr then just play hard as crap on the strings it works for me, I can get the srv sound through my twin or my line six its all in how u play
-
that sounds like a semi-hollow... not like a strat! you need a strat and single coils to sound like srv and jimi

I got to see Marc demonstrating Taylor guitars in Albuquerque. This guy is an amazing musician...and he was very humble.

first of all srv and jimi didnt have similar tones at all jimi used a 50s/60s strat a thomas organ/vox wah pedal modded to hell and back and a fuz face to boost the amp a octivia a unovibe a echoplex and a crancked marshall plexi! srv used a 50s strat 2 wah pedals at the same time and a tube screamer a tremolo pedal some kind of delay pedal a fender amp (i think a super champ) and a marshall master volume plexi and he also used 12 guage strings unlike jimi who used 9s so make two seprate videos.

Thats a good tone and all, but covered humbuckers and hollow body doesn't make for anywhere near what SRV got.

LOL I would say getting a strat should be the number one priority when going for the Jimi or Stevie tone!
-
No strat?
-
crap........no strat

This video is really for beginners and people trying to teach themselves...

what a jerk.

Hendrix Tone ?? hahahahaah
An 80 ms delay gives you a small room reverb effect, not a jimi or steve vibe. The guitar is key.
