We are supposed to be supportive of each other, not degrading people of our own culture. Deafhood defines Audism which is what you are doing to your own people. Please be considerate.

@cmnagy57 We can argue on this for hours. Terrylene was very callous & hostile towards me and others when we worked together for MAC camp -- all staff worked hard and yet Terrylene as he CEO terrorized us all for 4 weeks. i stood up and told her that her antics are not acceptable.

Now ON this TV segment, Gary and I discussed how stupid it is to have this particular character that appears out of nowhere -- all hearing people heard her voice automatically worships Jasmine. (con't)

@cmnagy57 part 2; Teryylene is 100% deaf using ASL. IN that segment, she acted like she HEARD her voice -- suddenly, Terrylene is worshiping her just like that. And not only that, when she was on the stage, Terrylene fingerspelled Jasmine wrong -- she spelled Jaisimine instead of Jasmine. My feelings is that she should crticize the writers about it -- but no, she wanted that role even if it does NOT make sense at all.

@ReformedTheology5 That is NOT the point here. The point is that she has a grudge against Marlee Matlin from day one. And her fingerspelling for Jasmine was incorrect. Not only that, the scene which I described which Terrylene never made sense.

Plus, she was horrible when I worked for her organization many years ago. I already knew what it is like to deal with conniving thief like her. You do not.

@ridor9th everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why not pursue people who are against Deaf culture...you are free to your opinion...make videos on whatever you like or feel...so why can't TL have the same right and freedom you have?...except ofc nobody is paying you a penny...and she is getting paid...but using that to benefit YOU (Deaf people) ultimately...by being a PROFESSIONAL (not many)...so why come against her work...you want to make students think bad about Deaf people, that better?
