the mtv movie awards give attention to movies that don't deserve to be paid any attention. the kind of movies that nobody will care about in a year. it is these kinds of movies that are lapped up by people with short attention spans, whereas the oscars feature movies that people remember 10, 20, 50 years later, perhaps even for all time.
